COVID-19 FAQ

The current global pandemic is impacting virtually everything in our lives right now. The Candy Universe is not an exception, and below are some frequently asked questions and answers regarding our response to the virus and our plans going forward.

Q: Are the comics still being made?

A: Yes. We have no plans to stop producing comics. We made a pledge early on during this crisis to keep the comics flowing for the fans, despite the coronavirus.

Q: Will the Candy Universe remain financially stable during the crisis?

A: Yes. Currently, fan support only covers 9% of our expenses. The other 91% is covered by Sugar, out of pocket. Sugar works two full time jobs to earn the necessary income, and both jobs are stable, even in a global recession.

Q: Have any plans changed now?

A: Nothing major. We are still in the process of hiring a new staff member, Deciprax still received his EUS funds for a new iPad a few days ago, and the planned April FASP is now underway. We have postponed the plush toy giveaway for now, because we don't want these expensive, one of a kind toys getting stuck in customs/postal quarantine.

Q: Are you still accepting donations?

A: Yes, conditionally. The Candy Universe is still accepting donations, but we recognize there are far more important causes out there, and we highly recommend you consider donating to a local blood bank, food bank, etc before you consider us. We are able to run without any fan support if need be, and we are not a charity.

Q: Are you producing any content specifically in response to the virus?

A: Yes! The Twitter account for the Candy Universe has posted a few bonus pages from different series, specifically based on the current pandemic. We do take the situation seriously, but that doesn't mean you can't have a good laugh. Humor is a great way to forget for a moment that your whole life is being turned upside down...

Q: My question wasn't answered!

A: Ok! Ask it below in the comments, and we will respond. :)
